We’re hosting this really cool event with Mise En Place Cooking School and you won’t want to miss it! Chef, author, and hunter, Hank Shaw, will be promoting his new book, Pheasant, Quail, Cottontail, on Dec 1st at the cooking school—learn the ins and outs of small game and how to prepare them. *All turkeys are grown for us, which, like any product of nature, means that they can vary in size. We will do our very best to not only find you a size that matches your desire, but communicate to our fullest extent if any sizing issues arise. Deer season will be upon us before you know it! We always get a lot of questions from hunters about what to do once they have a whole deer on their hands, so we've made this opportunity to learn a bit about breaking down a similar animal into usable parts. Whether you're a hunter or just have a keen interest in learning how to butcher, this demo will walk you through the steps and send you home with something for dinner. EVENT ALERT!! Our friend and meat master, Meredith Leigh, author of The Ethical Meat Handbook, is releasing a new book on creating charcuterie at home (out Nov 28th). Pure Charcuterie is going to be so crucial to the home curing enthusiast and to celebrate, we’ve invited the author herself to Richmond to lead a charcuterie making demo with dinner to follow!

We've been asked and now y'all get to receive! We're hosting our first PIG BREAKDOWN CLASS here at the store on Sunday, April 29th. This year Easter falls on April 16th, it should be a beautiful Spring day!
We will be making fresh & smoked Kielbasa; Lamb w. rosemary sausage and lots of bacon. We will also feature fresh LOCAL lamb, beef & pork as well as Colorado Lamb and Nueske's Hams. Deadline for ordering is Monday, April 10th. Please give us a call to order!

The first day of Passover is Tuesday, April 10th and the Seder feast is like none other! Whether your family tradition includes brisket, veal breast or lamb - we will be ready.
